Riding the train between Ajaccio and the old capital in the mountains, Corte, is one of the things that HAS to be done while in Corsica, as the ride is simply spectacular, even for people who are well used to scenic train rides in the European Alps! The Corsican Railway Company should however seriously consider supplementing the number of trains on the tracks: trains are packed at all times, even in mid/low-season, with people often standing or sitting on the floor. There is clearly demand for more than just 5 services each way a day, both from tourists as well as from locals. Allowing people to travel by train (which they clearly want) more comfortably, would also help decongest Corsica's very busy roads!

The place looks uninviting, the toilets are out of order and the personal speaks only one language. Most of the visitors come from non French speaking countries but at the whole place there are only instructions and explanations in French.
